Our employee highlight for May is Dan Jankowski, VP of Technology at Nutrient Workflow. Dan manages our development team and application infrastructure. He ensures our customers have the tools and knowledge needed to succeed. We asked Dan more about his role and what he enjoys doing in his free time. Thanks for all you do, Dan!
Tell me about your role at Nutrient Workflow.
As VP of Technology, I assist in implementing the CTO’s vision on a day-to-day basis. I oversee all technical operations of the company, including (but not limited to) keeping the cloud environments kicking, supporting the development team on track to increase the product’s feature set, making sure new code gets into customer’s hands, and managing the team that provides more hands-on technical support for the product.
How long have you worked at Nutrient Workflow?
I have been working at Nutrient Workflow for 11 years.
What is something you love about working for Nutrient Workflow?
I’m a problem solver at my core. I find great joy in conceptualizing creative solutions and seeing them work for people. It makes them happy. It makes me happy. I get to see that every day here. (The people around me ain’t half bad either, so that helps.)
What kind of problems do you like to solve?
YES!
What do you like to do in your free time?
I am a musician in a constantly working band. I enjoy exercising when I can, I am lousy with the frustrations of being a Cleveland sports team fanatic, and I love spending as much time as possible with my family.
Any Nutrient Workflow-specific shoutouts you’d like to give?
We are a family here. You can’t ask me which of my children, siblings, or parents I like best! Though that being said, luckily, I enjoy working with Rich since we collaborate daily. He is the creator, the master. He knows more about the product’s inner workings than anyone else and seems to thrive on sharing it. After 11 years, I still learn new things from Rich in truck loads. Someday, he’ll help me get to the tootsie roll center of the Nutrient Workflow onion.
