New Building Director at MSC Cruise Management David Huchet shared his story with the Nutrient team about the company’s journey with workflow automation. From realizing the need for streamlined and automated processes, to testing various software options, to finally choosing Nutrient, this customer story covers all the details.
Challenges of manual workflows and the need for automation
Prior to implementing Nutrient Workflow Automation Platform, formally Integrify, MSC Cruise Management relied on a variety of manual processes, including emails, phone calls, casual conversations, and meetings to manage day-to-day processes. As the company scaled, it recognized an opportunity to optimize approval processes by introducing automation.
In particular, automation provided an opportunity for MSC Cruise Management to reduce administrative burden and increase transparency across teams. To ensure consistency and accuracy in routing tasks and approvals, it became necessary to seek out workflow automation software to improve and formalize the New Building business processes.
“I spent about six months exploring various platforms and testing them through trial accounts,” Huchet said. “Nutrient stood out as the most user-friendly option, complemented by excellent customer service that we could truly rely on.” Within the first year, the company expanded across multiple departments, resulting in the need to triple the number of licenses assigned, solidifying Nutrient as a key part of its long-term strategy.
Maximizing workflow efficiency with automation
After the first demo, Nutrient was able to show MSC Cruise Management’s New Building department how it would be able to further optimize the company’s processes. According to Huchet, “I knew what I wanted, and when I went to Nutrient, the platform allowed me to do just that.” Unlike other solutions, Nutrient provided a seamless experience backed by a dedicated team that ensured a smooth transition.
“It’s user friendly and easy to use, and I can see the benefits of using it rapidly.”
MSC Cruise ManagementAlong with a dedicated team, the product itself had everything MSC CM was looking for. “We wanted a centralized location for all our day-to-day processes, along with the ability to automate these processes and effectively track statuses and roadblocks,” Huchet said. With every process and form hosted in a centralized location, the organization gained visibility into where any given request was at any time.
Huchet also needed a platform that was able to grow with his organization, so having a platform that allows endless flexibility was a main selling point. A year into its partnership with Nutrient, the MSC CM New Building department has already implemented 12 live processes.
Consistency improves team morale
Since implementing Nutrient, MSC Cruise Management has experienced notable improvements in efficiency and process visibility. While it’s still early in the company’s journey, the team already feels the impact — time previously spent managing approvals and following up on requests is now redirected to higher-value tasks. By utilizing faster approval cycles, MSC is able to offer improved service to its clients. This is made possible by allowing employees to quickly check their dashboards, identify roadblocks, and keep workflows moving without unnecessary delays.
As MSC Cruise Management continues to refine and expand its use of Nutrient, it expects to develop measurable benchmarks to track efficiency gains. “We are still very much on our journey, but the key for us was having a centralized location for all our day-to-day processes,” Huchet explained.
Beyond internal efficiencies, the excitement and adoption of Nutrient has been well received across the organization. Teams immediately experienced the benefits of automated workflows, and even senior leadership has been highly supportive, recognizing the platform’s long-term value. With big plans ahead, MSC Cruise Management is confident Nutrient will play a crucial role in optimizing the company’s workflow efficiency for years to come.

Looking ahead, MSC CM sees even greater potential for automation to improve its efficiency. “We have big plans coming up for sure,” Huchet added, emphasizing that the New Building department is just beginning to explore the full capabilities of Nutrient.
He also noted that “the challenges MSC CM faced aren’t unique to us” — many organizations struggle with inefficient workflows, and Nutrient’s solutions have the potential to transform businesses across industries.
