Today, PSPDFKit announced its award-winning PDF editor is available for all current Aquaforest and Muhimbi customers and the broader SharePoint community. In the first half of 2022, PSPDFKit acquired Aquaforest and Muhimbi — the leading PDF document management services for the Microsoft 365 platform. Today’s release capitalizes on the fantastic synergy of the three product lines, adding immense value for existing and future customers.

With PSPDFKit’s PDF Editor for SharePoint, Aquaforest and Muhimbi users can now edit and annotate PDF documents without leaving SharePoint and transfer documents to third-party clouds. The PDF editor is available for both online and on-premises versions of SharePoint, and it provides the following functionality:

  • Viewing PDF documents

  • Editing original PDF text just like you would a Word document

  • Redacting sensitive information

  • Annotating and highlighting text

  • Adding and adjusting images

  • Stamping and watermarking documents

  • eSigning documents

  • Merging and splitting PDFs

  • Rotating pages

With the PDF Editor for SharePoint, Aquaforest and Muhimbi’s combined offering features a complete set of PDF tools for Microsoft 365 and SharePoint. It spans PDF editing, OCR, document conversion, PDF/A archiving, and data extraction, plus a wide range of workflow actions for Power Automate, Nintex, and K2 platforms.

Both brands take compliance seriously. Neither Aquaforest nor Muhimbi transfers documents and data to third-party servers during operations. Additionally, users can maintain document metadata throughout the entire document lifecycle, which is critical for legal compliance. And finally, archiving PDF documents in PDF/A format ensures compliance with multiple industry and government regulations for submitting and storing PDFs.
