Create PDF Forms in SharePoint
In addition to viewing and filling out PDF forms, we added the ability to create PDF forms from scratch. You can create interactive and non-interactive forms by using different widgets: buttons, text, radio buttons, checkboxes, combo boxes, data, and signatures. These widgets have a wide range of options that can help you create different styles of form fields and customize the look of your PDF forms.
Redact Sensitive Data
The first version of PDF Editor has a text redaction option that enables you to highlight text in a document and permanently redact that text. In our latest release, we added a redaction tool that lets you point, click, and drag over a region in your document. This enables you to permanently redact large portions of a document quickly, including images and form field data.
Measurement Tools
It’s now possible to measure the distance, perimeter, and area of drawings in a document with PDF Editor. There are three different types of area measurements: polygon, circle, and rectangle. As for the distance tool, you can measure the length, width, and height of an object on a page. You can also calculate the length of all sides of a measured object on a page with the perimeter measurement tool.
Know Who Left Comments and Annotations in Your Files
When collaborating on a document in SharePoint, it’s important to know which user left a comment, note, stamp, or highlight in your document. So in this release, we added the ability to include metadata in any annotations created in your document. This means that when a user adds a comment to a PDF document, the metadata of the user is placed in the annotation automatically.
